There are over 160 channels available on SKY, and that's an awful lot of low quality television. However once in a while a must watch programme comes along. Below you can see  those that I think are worth staying up for.

In my case they tend to fall into three categories ....... science fiction, criminal investigation dramas or sitcoms Some are ongoing series, whilst others (I am sad to say) have finished.

Click on the picture of a particular programme to read more about it from the entry on tv.com, a very useful source of information for television series ....... be careful though, entries often contain spoilers.

Television Musings

  1. I actually don't watch that much television. Only around 5 hours a week, compared to 18 hours a week for the average Briton.

  2. I got Sky+ in 2002 and it really does change the way you watch television. I can't remember the last time I watch a live broadcast of anything other than football.

  3. House is the most watched television program in the world and if you watch it you'll understand why.

  4. I accidentally stumbled across NCIS when repeats were being shown on FX. It's probably the most underrated television drama in current production and one of the few series I would recommend people watch.

  5. You'd be amazed how many people's houses I go round and find that they have not set their Sky box up correctly; shame on the Sky installers for not doing it right in the first place.

  6. High Definition TV is exceptionally good, but Sky HD boxes are very temperamental, which is why I still haven't got one. Anyway, some of us have been playing video games in HD long before SKY HD.

  7. I can't believe they only made 4 seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise, I'm kind of hoping there will be another incarnation of Star Trek.

  8. Although Burn Notice is not the best crime drama on television, it is most definitely my favourite.
  NCIS   Lost   24

  Prison Break   Battlestar Galactica   Heroes

  True Blood   Burn Notice   Dexter
