Since it's release in November 2004,
Halo 2 has become one of the most widely played online games ever. The developers of
Halo 2, Bungie, are
owned by Microsoft. With the backing of its' parent company Bungie has dedicated
a section of its' website to compiling and publishing Halo 2
online statistics.
The details available on each game are amazing and every online game of Halo 2
ever played is there to be viewed. Now you can find out who truly is the
best Halo player, from
Rumble Pit to
Big
Team Battle. After 60 days the statistics of each game are still available
but not to the same level of detail. In order that my best attempts are not
consigned to the data dustbin at Bungie, I have lifted my more memorable games
and shown them as screen dumps below.
Click the 'killtacular' medal to see the medals I have won. Right click the Halo 2 logo to control the music
If you want to see how some of my friends have been doing then
click on their rather spurious gamer tags to take a peek.
I have also included an automatically updating
link that shows the last 10 games I have played.
Just as well I was playing in this one. Andrew, Mike and Jason only
managed 19 kills between them.
If
you're outclassed, then victory by superior firepower is the only way to
go!!
Team Slayer on Warlock ....... 15 kills in a row and didn't die
once!!
All against all in this Rumble Slayer on Ascension ....... not sure what
Jason was doing!!
Remember ....... aim for the head!!
If a jobs worth doing properly ....... then do it yourself!!
Team play ....... I didn't like the blue team very much!!
Played a whole game of Team Slayer and didn't die ....... not
once!!
And now 'la piece de resistance' ....... Overkill!
25 kills in row ....... I have only ever achieved this once!
These screen shots show me as YardDealer, which was
my original gamertag.
Below you have all the possible screen shot from a game of Rumble Slayer.
Details like this are stored for every game played on Halo 2 (over 1 million
everyday) for 60 days after the games are played.
In mid-2007 Bungie update the Halo 2 website to show even more statistics. It
appears that they were getting the site ready for Halo 3, which was released on
26th September, 2007.
